Wilkes-Barre, Pa. — Marywood University ended a seven-match volleyball losing streak with a 3-2 win over Wilkes University on Saturday. The Pacers split a tri-match with a loss to Hunter College.

Libby Smith had a career-high 14 kills to lead the Pacers. She finished with a .278 percentage and added two aces for a match-best 16 points.
Marywood won by scores of 25-16, 22-25, 15-25, 25-18, 15-13.
Casey Hagerstrom had nine kills and an error for a .348 attack percentage.
Autumn Savitski matched her with a career-high nine kills, in addition to three block assists.
Defensively,
Gianna Norton and
Jaedyn Laws provided 20 and 12 digs, respectively. Laws added 29 assists for a double-double.
Three Colonels factored in with double figures offensively. Sierra Hines led with 12 kills and a .476 attack percentage. Alexis Reedy had 11 kills, and Hope Ousey had 10 kills. Alexa Cassel tallied 36 assists.
In the deciding fifth set, Hagerstrom evened the score at 13-13 with a kill. Two serves later, Smith had an ace for match point.
Marywood wins its second-straight match against Wilkes. The Pacers are 10-5 against the Colonels since 2007. Marywood has won all three matches that have gone the full five sets.
Hunter 3, Marywood 0
After surviving a match that went to 29 points, Hunter prevailed for a 29-27, 25-21, 25-12 victory over the Pacers.
Smith led the Pacers' offense for the second straight match with seven kills and a .208 attack percentage, along with three aces.
Norton had 14 digs, and Laws tallied 14 assists.
Hunter was guided by Tionna Moss' 13 kills and a .455 attack percentage.
The Hawks shot .222 to the Pacers' .040. Hunter had a 55-39 advantage in digs.
Marywood will welcome Saint Elizabeth University on Thursday.
