Sorce Joins 100 Point Club in Shutout Victory Over Centenary

The Pacers notch a season high 20 points in the contest

Hackettstown, N.J. — The Marywood University women's soccer team (10-3-1, 2-0-0) had a dominant win over Centenary University (4-9-0, 0-3-0) on Wednesday. Josephine Sorce notched two goals in the contest and earned her spot in the 100 Point Club. 

Sorce is now the sixth member in program history to join the 100 Point Club. 

The Pacers notched their first goal a mere three minutes into the match. Caroline Plank spotted Caroline Walters, who booted the ball into the back of the net to give Marywood an early lead. 

Maura Kirkpatrick had back-to-back goals in the 25th and 30th minute to extend the lead to 3-0. 

Sorce collected her 100th career point with a goal in the 34th minute, assisted by Kirkpatrick. 

Isabel Shore added to the lead in the 42nd minute with her first goal of the season, taking the Pacers into halftime with a 5-0 advantage. 

Walters notched her second goal of the game in the 51st minute. 

Riley Mulherin connected with Sorce who netted her 102nd point in the 63rd minute. 

Marywood's eighth and final goal came in the 76th minute when Bryn Stiles found Eva Brobst who booted the ball past the keeper. 

Jenna Orr and Genevieve Morrison combined for a clean sheet in the net for the Pacers. 

Centenary's Emma Ferfecki collected 16 saves. 

Marywood had a season high of points (20), shots (40), and shots on goal (24) in the contest. 

The Pacers will resume conference play on Saturday with a home match against Marymount.
