Pacers Fall in Final Regular Season Game, 4-1

Pacers are No. 1 seed for AEC tournament

Ewing, NJ. — The Marywood field hockey team traveled to TCNJ (12-5) for their final matchup before the conference tournament got underway.  The Pacers (12-6) would go on to drop the non-conference match, 4-1. 

The first tally of the game came just before the half, as the Lions scored in the 29th minute. 

After halftime, TCNJ extended the lead to 2-0 in the 31st minute of play. 

And the 36th minute of play, the Lions added on yet another insurance goal to make it 3-0. 

The fourth and final goal for TCNJ was netted in the 50 second minute. 

Dariane Jones was able to convert in the 56th minute for the Pacers, avoiding the shutout. Livy Mahoney was credited with the assist. 

Marywood was out-shot on the day 22-5 (16-3 on target). 

The Lions also led in penalty corner opportunities 9-6. 

Jenny Keagy was in goal the Pacers this afternoon, recording nine saves. 

Brigitte Racey collected two saves for TCNJ. 

The team looks ahead to the first round of the AEC playoffs hosting a semifinal match against Manhattanville on Saturday at noon.
