Marywood Marches Past Giants, 68-61

Ciullo posts 20 points

Scranton, Pa. — On Wednesday evening, the Marywood University women's basketball team hosted Keystone College for a cross-town non conference matchup. The Pacers would prevail, 68-61, as they improve to an overall record of 4-1. 

The first quarter was all Keystone, as the Giants (3-2) outscored the Pacers 22-15. 

Marywood dominated the second quarter though, outscoring Keystone by 15 and taking a 34-26 lead into halftime. 

The Pacers continued to extend the lead in the third quarter, putting up another 22 points. 

Despite being outscored 21-12 in the fourth, Marywood would go on to be victorious, as they wrapped up a 68-61 victory with a handful of free-throws in the final minute. 

 The Pacers shot an impressive 46 percent in the field while going 6-15 from beyond the arc. 

Marywood was led offensively by Olivia Ciullo's 20 points, shooting 53.8 percent. 

Kendel Card tallied 11 points while Megan Cavoli tabbed 10 for the Pacers. 

Keystone made 25-67 in total, 2-16 from three, and 9-18 from the stripe. 

Anyah Ortiz led the Giants with 16 points. 

The Pacers were out-rebounded 39-35. 

Mia Blume led both teams with eight total rebounds. 

Marywood is back in action tomorrow, Thursday, as they host Cairn University for another non-conference matchup.
