Pacers Win Fourth Straight With Victory Over Cairn

Four Pacers put up double digits

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood women's basketball team won in dominant fashion on Thursday, as they hosted Cairn University for another non-conference matchup. The 77-52 victory propels the Pacers to a 5-1 record, while Cairn falls to 1-4. 

After taking a 36-26 lead into the half, Marywood had their best quarter yet in the 3rd, outscoring the Highlanders 23-12. 

The Pacers added another 18 points in the 4th quarter, on their way to victory. 

Marywood was spectacular from the floor, shooting 32-67 in total. The Pacers added a 32.1 percent clip from beyond the arc and went 4-8 from the free-throw line. 

The Pacers had four players in double digits, as Mia Blume (12 points), Rachel McDonald (11 points), Olivia Ciullo (10 points), and Taylor Simpson (10 points) all got in on the fun. 

Cairn went 18-59 in total. The Highlanders shot well from three, going 6-13 (46.2%), while also added a 10-14 (71.4%) clip from the charity stripe. 

Cairn's Kailee Sabrino dropped 33 points. 

The Pacers were out-rebounded 43-35. 

Ciullo led the Pacers with eight rebounds, while Emily Britton collected a team-high 11 for the Highlanders. 

Marywood will next host Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, November 30th.
