Pacers Skate Past Bears in Electric City Class

Trevor Seitz leads scorers with 19 points

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University men's basketball won the opening game of the Electric City Classic with a 79-65 victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Friday. The Pacers will take on Washington College in the final day of competition on Saturday. 

Keystone College defeated Washington on a buzzer beater in the other tournament game. 

Trevor Seitz led the Pacers with 19 points. Seitz went 6 of 8 from the field, including 5 of 7 from long range. 

Brendan Franko scored a season-high 17 points. Collin Himmelberg came off the bench to supply 13 points. 

Other top contributors offensively included Austin Bausman (nine points) and Corey Perkins (five assists). 

Michel Loftin had a team-high 10 rebounds.

Marywood shot 42.9 percent from the field, compared to the Bears' 36.6% mark. The Pacers connected on 36.4 percent (12 of 33) of their shots from long range.

St. Joseph's Colin Mills scored 15 points. Noah Gray had 14 points and eight boards. Maven Cummings generated 13 points. 

The Bears bench outscored their starts 37-28. 

Marywood takes on the Shoremen at 4 p.m. in the Insalaco Arena. The Giants take on the Bears at 2 p.m.
