Pacers Downed By Penn State Altoona

McDonald leads the Pacers with 12 points

Scranton, Pa. — On Wednesday evening, the Marywood University women's basketball team hosted Penn State Altoona in a non-conference matchup. The Pacers fell to the Nittany Lions 67-47.   

The Pacers were down 29-21 at halftime. 

As a team, the Pacers shot 15-56 (28.6%) in total, 3-20 (15%) from three, and 12-16 (75%) from the free throw line. 

Rachel McDonald led Marywood with 12 points. Olivia Ciullo collected 10 points for the Pacers. 

The Nittany Lions fared better, shooting 27-67 from the floor, 5-17 from beyond the arc, and 8-12 from the line. 

Avana Sayles led all scorers with 25 points for Penn State, which put her at over 1,000 career points.

The Nittany Lions out-rebounded the Pacers 48-34. 

Stephanie Klemick led Marywood with eight boards. 

The Pacers will look to bounce back on Saturday as the Ravens of Rosemont College come to the Insalanco Arena.
