Colorado Springs, Colo. — Three Marywood University student-athletes were selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III All-Region Team, officials announced Wednesday. It is the first time in Marywood history that three field hockey student-athletes received the honor.
Cydney Lahr and Maria Tomada were both named to the NFHCA Region IV First Team. Dariane Jones was selected to the Second Team.
Lahr captures her first Team All-Region and her second overall All-Region laurel. She previously was named Second Team in 2023. The Atlantic East Player of the Year broke the school record for single-season points (51), single-season goals (22) and career goals (52).
Tomada was named First Team All-Region for the second time in her career. She previously was named to the team as a part of the Keystone Giants in 2023. The Argentinian ranked fourth in single-season goals (18) and fifth in single-season points (43).
Jones scored 17 goals and 10 assists for 44 points to earn her first All-Region merit. Her season ranks all-time as third in assists, fifth in goals, and fourth in points.
It is the ninth time in Marywood athletics history that three student-athletes were named all-region in one sport. There have been 13 all-region awardees in program history.
All three Marywood student-athletes were selected First Team All-Atlantic East.
Marywood won its second Atlantic East Conference championship and NCAA Division III tournament berth this season.
