Colorado Springs, Colo. — Marywood University senior Dariane Jones and graduate student Lany Straub were selected to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Preseason Watchlist. Powered by Performance Sports Events, 175 student-athletes from 83 Division III institutions were highlighted.
This list is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams.
To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Straub scored 10 goals and five assists for a career-best 25 points last season. Straub was named First Team All-Atlantic East.
Jones led the Pacers with 10 assists in addition to 17 goals during last year's Atlantic East-winning campaign. She was named First Team All-Atlantic East.
It is the second consecutive season Jones has been selected to the Watchlist.
Marywood opens the 2025 campaign on Friday versus New Paltz at 3 p.m.
