Swimming Sweeps Lycoming, Delhi

Scranton, Pa. -- Marywood University men's and women's swimming and diving swept Lycoming College and SUNY Delhi on Saturday. The Pacers men won 92-72 over Delhi and 100-70 over Lycoming. Marywood's women defeated the Broncos 195-9 and the Warriors 182-51.

Emerson Gellert won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 12:16.58. She was first in the 500 free in 5:52.23. Gellert swam to a 5:52.23 swim for the top spot in the 500 free.

Freshman Catelyn Lieser had a pair of individual wins. She touched the wall in 200 free in 2:11.36 for first place. She earned first in the 100 free in 1:00.35.

Tori Sills recorded a 100 back first-place swim. Sills clocked in at 1:11.08.

Aubrey Mangan won the 100 breast by two-hundredths of a second. She outtouched Lycoming's Maddi Robbins with a time of 1:21.01. She garnered a 200 breast win in 2:55.79.

Sam Peck achieved three wins. She was tops in the 200 butterfly with a mark of 2:33.48. Peck won the 100 butterfly in 1:07.33. She came in first in the 200 IM in 2:32.53.

Molly Englehardt won the 50 free in 27.84 seconds. She took the 200 back in 2:34.28.

Marywood's 200 medley relay of Sills, Mangan, Peck and Englehardt won in 2:05.99. The Pacers' 200 free relay of Paige Paffenroth, Kendra Musselman, Lieser and Gellert won in 1:54.16.

On the men's side, Alex McCarey captured the 1,000 free in 12:31.81.

Alex Corcoran notched a win in the 100 back in 1:07.09. He had a 200 back time of 2:29.71.

Nathan Grosvenor had a pair of firsts. He won the 200 butterfly in 2:30.53. Grosvenor was first in the 200 breast in 2:46.38.

Aaron Purdy won the 200 IM in 2:42.58.

Marywood heads to Florida for their Winter Break training. The Pacers welcome Marymount and Immaculata for an Atlantic East tri-meetduring the new year.
