Marywood Falls to Gwynedd Mercy

Pacers claim six seed in the AEC tournament

Scranton, Pa. - The Pacers played host to the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday evening, as they would go on to drop the contest by a score of 77-46. With the loss, Marywood falls to 8-15 (2-8 AEC), while Gwynedd Mercy improves to 9-15 (2-8 AEC). 

The Pacers totaled their 46 points on 18-70 (25.7%) shooting, while going 4-26 (15.4%) from behind the arc and 6-10 (60%) from the free-throw line. 

Marywood was led by Mia Blume and Kendel Card, who tallied 12 points a piece. 

The Griffins, who shot 31-71 (43.7%), were led by a 28 point performance from Lynzie Eggers. 

Marywood was out-rebounded 54-37 on the evening. Alli Griscavage and Stephanie Klemick grabbed seven boards each. 

The Pacers secured the 6th seed heading into the AEC tournament.
