Quinn Takes Down Cannoneers with Lights-Out Performance

Quinn scores career-high 23 points in 14 minutes

Scranton, Pa. -- Marywood University earned a 96-74 win over future Atlantic East Conference foe Pratt Institute on Saturday. The Pacers scored their second-highest offensive production of the season. 

It is the Pacers' highest scoring game against an NCAA Division III team since totaling 101 points versus Wesley College on January 5, 2019. 

Andrew Quinn scored a career-high 23 points in just 14 minutes of the bench. Quinn connected on 7 of 8 3-pointers and made both free throws. He surpassed his previous high of 13 points. 

Mason Mendygral contributed 15 points, and Brendan Franko tallied 14 points. Trevor Seitz scored 12 points and six assists. 

Austin Bausman was the Pacers' leading rebounder with eight. 

The Cannoneers (7-13) were led by Cameron Windt with 16 points and Jaden Young with 14 points. Pratt joins the Atlantic East in 2024-25. 

Marywood (10-11) outscored the Pratt bench by an 82-25 margin. 

Pratt battled in the first half, taking a 17-15 lead on a Patrick O'Gorman 3-pointers. DeClan McCarthy gave the Pacers a lead with a 3-pointer at the 11:26 mark. On the next possession, Franko put back an offensive rebound and Mendrygral sank a 3-pointer to stretch the lead to 23-19. 

Quinn's back-to-back 3-pointers increased the Pacers lead, and Seitz made a long-ranged shot of his own for a 37-29 advantage at the 5:30 mark of the first half. 

Pratt cut the disadvantage to two possessions in the second half when Mekhi Davis made a layup to move within four (61-57) at 13:35. 

Later in the second half, Marywood went on a 14-point run, capped by a consecutive 3-pointers by Quinn to take an 87-65 advantage.

Marywood looks to get back into the win column Wednesday at Centenary University.
