Men's Lacrosse Stymied by Mighty Macs

Marywood travels to third-seeded Marymount in Atlantic East first round

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University concluded its regular season with a 9-2 loss to Immaculata University Wednesday in Atlantic East Conference men's lacrosse action. The sixth-seeded Pacers will travel to No. 3 Marymount University in the first round on Saturday. 

John Scibello scored both goals for the Pacers. Dillon Kane and Aiden Kilkenny each had an assist.

Nick Baker tied the single-season caused turnovers record at 39. He had five ground balls. 

Kane and Cam Hallett each had two caused turnovers. Hallett added four ground balls.

Nick Ericson won 12 of 15 (80 percent) at the faceoff-x. He collected 10 ground balls. 

Off the bench, Zach Pramik had four ground balls. Wil Pieters had three caused balls. 

Colin Trainor made 11 saves in net. Immaculata goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow made 15 saves — all but two coming in the first half. 

Immaculata's David Azzarano tallied three goals and two assists for five points. Bailey Manion had three goals and an assist for four points. 

In spite of the score, the Mighty Macs narrowly outshot the Pacers by a 38-24 margin. The Pacers had a 41-36 advantage in ground balls. 

The Pacers will take on Marymount at a time to be announced Saturday in Northern Virginia.
