Jake Plokhoy leads Pacers with two goals

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University fell to Penn College of Technology 10-4 Wednesday to wrap up its non-conference men's lacrosse schedule. The Wildcats broke away from a one-goal game with five unanswered goals. 

Jake Plokhoy led the Pacers with a pair of goals. 

Nick Ericson won 11 of 18 faceoff cahnces with six ground balls. Zach Pramik and Dillon Kane each provided five ground balls. 

Dalton Gerver and Nick Baker each caused two turnovers. 

In goal, Colin Trainor made 16 saves. Alex Hammond stopped 11 shots to earn the win for the Wildcats. 

Penn's AJ Dotson tallied seven points on three goals and four assists. Aidan McFalls totaled five points on three goals and two assists. 

Marywood went on top early in the game with an unassisted goal from Aiden Kilkenny. The Wildcats responded with three straight goals from Harrision Schlachta and Dotson in the first period. 

Trailing 5-2 at halftime, the Pacers opened the second half with back-to-back goals. John Scibello scored an unassisted goal, and Plokhoy put the Pacers within one (5-4) with 6:01 remaining in the third. Penn scored a man-up goal from Jesse Weick at the 2:11 mark to start a five-goal run to close the game. 

Marywood opens its conference slate Saturday at Neumann University.
