Marywood Drops Game One of Series Against Marymount

Pacers piece together seven hits

Tysons, Va. — The Marywood University baseball team traveled to Virginia to face Marymount in the first of a three game series. The Pacers (21-15, 6-10 AEC) fell to the Saints (29-8, 13-3 AEC), 12-3. 

Marymount plated three in the bottom half of the first. 

Marywood earned one run back in the top of the second with a Joey Galantini sacrifice fly plating Adam Ginsberg

The Pacers added their second run of the game in the top of the third when Christian Michak blasted a home run to center. 

In the bottom half the Saints scored five runs on a solo homer and grand slam. 

Marymount combined for four more runs between the sixth and seventh innings. 

Cameron Kohut hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth to plate Vinny D'Auria

Max Ryan falls to 4-2 on the season. 

Aiden Dolan pitched an inning without allowing a run. 

D'Auria tallied three hits of the Pacers seven hits. 

The Pacers look to bounce back in a  doubleheader Saturday against Marymount for the series finale.
