Marywood's three-game winning streak comes to an end

St. Davids, Pa. — Marywood University's three-game winning streak came to a halt in a 1-0 loss to Eastern University Saturday in women's soccer. 

Bridget Hitchner scored the lone goal of the game in the 49th minute from Billinda Leisner. It was her first goal of the season. 

Marywood outshot the Eagles by a 14-8 margin. The Pacers edged Eastern 6-4 in shots on target. Both teams had three corners. 

Jenna Orr allowed her first goal of the season, making one save. Genevieve Morrison had two saves. 

Faith Leake had six saves for the shutout. 

Marywood welcomes Wilkes University on Wednesday.
