Higgins Earns Back-to-Back Defensive Player of the Week Nods, Walters tabs Weekly Honor Roll

Higgins earned the assist on Walter's goal in 1-0 victory over Oneonta

Lancaster, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer weekly award winners on Monday. Marywood's Britlyn Higgins won Defensive Player of the Week honors and Caroline Walters notched Weekly Honor Roll.

Higgins tallied two assists and limited opposing offenses to just one goal in a 2-1 week for the Pacers. In a 5-0 win over Lancaster Bible, Higgins teamed with Caroline Plank for a flawless double-assisted set piece to Josephine Sorce. She fed a 90th minute cross to Caroline Walters to score the lone goal six seconds before the clock ran out on a 1-0 win over Oneonta State. The Marywood defense's shutout streak ended at 297 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Hartwick.

Walters scored a game-winning goal with six seconds remaining in regulation to lift Marywood to a 1-0 victory over Oneonta State. Walters beat out a defender and goalkeeper to head a Britlyn Higgins cross at the 89:54 mark of the game.

The Pacers will take on Mount Saint Mary's (NY) at home, on Wednesday.
