Kansas City, Mo. - Marywood University's Carly Walters and Britlyn Higgins were selected to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-East Region teams. Both Walters and Higgins were named to the Second Team.
Walters and Higgins are the seventh and eighth student-athletes in Marywood women's soccer program history to receive Scholar All-Region honors.
It is Marywood's first Academic All-Region recipients in 13 seasons. They join Andrea Barker and Lisa Hanselman (both 2009) as the only Second Team Scholar All-Region awardees.Â
Walters was selected the Atlantic East Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Higgins received Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. Both student-athletes received USC All-Region V Second Team honors.Â
