Pacers Fall to Centenary On The Road

McDonald leads Pacers with nine points

Hackettstown, N.J. — The Marywood women's basketball team dropped an 83-53 decision to Centenary University Saturday in Atlantic East Conference competition.

Marywood and Centenary had a back and forth first quarter with the Cyclones going up, 15-13 at the end of it. 

The Pacers would ultimately fall 83-53, as Centenary found their rhythm in the second quarter on. 

Marywood shot 21-58 (36.2 percent) from the floor in total, while going 7-19 (36.8 percent) from beyond the arc and 4-8 (50.0 percent) from the free-throw line. 

The Cyclones went 33-70 (47.1 percent) from the floor, while also going 3-10 (30.0 percent) from three and 14-19 (73.7 percent) from the charity stripe. 

The Pacers were led offensively by Rachel McDonald, who totaled nine points. 

Alli Griscavage had eight points and a team-leading five rebounds. 

Finley Bittenbender and Maddie Labatch each produced six points off the bench. 

Marywood was out-rebounded, 47-34. 

Centenary's Vatijah Davis and Kaylie Elsbree led the Cyclones with 15 points apiece. 

The Pacers are back in action at home Wednesday evening for a rematch against the Cyclones.
