Pacers Get Redemption Over Centenary in 68-50 Victory

Four Pacers score in double-digits

Scranton, Pa. — In a thrilling rematch from Saturday's loss in New Jersey, the Marywood University women's basketball team claimed a 68-50 victory over Centenary University. 

Mia Blume led the Pacers with 21 points. 

Olivia Ciullo grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds on her way to a double-double, pairing that with 13 points of her own. Stephanie Klemick had three blocks.

Megan Cavoli (10 points) and Rachel McDonald (19 points) boasted double digits as well. 

Marywood out-rebounded Centenary 38-33. 

Jasmine Sampong and Brie Opdyke both tallied 13 points to lead the Cyclones. 

Marywood out-scored Centenary (13-8, 2-4 AEC) in every quarter but the last, taking a 37-23 lead into the half. 

The Pacers were excellent from the floor today, boasting a 25-58 (43.1 percent) clip. Marywood was 7-12 (58.3 percent) on free throws and an impressive 11-19 (57.9 percent) from beyond the arc to boot. 

Marywood will look to carry the momentum into their next game on Saturday, as they host Neumann University whilst celebrating both Senior Day and Alumni Day.
