Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University secured the top seed in the Atlantic East Conference field hockey playoffs. The Pacers defeated Manhattanville University 3-0 Saturday to finish its conference season undefeated for the second straight season.

The Pacers (9-8, 4-0 AEC) won its ninth consecutive conference game.

Brooke Barwick finished with a goal and an assist for the Pacers.

Dariane Jones and Lany Straub each added a goal. Amelia Niven provided an assist.

With less than three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Jones gave Marywood its first lead. Barwick struck a cross to the center of the cage to Jones. Jones sent a quick pass to Niven on the near side, and Niven returned the pass for an open look at goal.
