Pacers Drop Regular Season Finale to TCNJ

Pacers are No. 1 Seed in Atlantic East Championship, Opening Saturday

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood University field hockey team hosted The College of New Jersey on Wednesday. The Pacers (9-9) went on to fall to the Lions by a score of 4-0.  

TCNJ scored all four of their goals in the first half of the game, with the first being in the 4th minute of play. 

Period two saw the other three Lions' goals, coming in the 18th, 24th, and 30th minutes. All three of these tallies were off the stick of Mackenzie Hart. 

The Pacers collected more shots on the day, totaling 17 with 11 being on-goal. 

TCNJ totaled 15 shots, 12 on target. 

Marywood also had more penalty corner opportunities, leading 12-7. 

Bre Marchiano recorded seven saves in the cage for the Pacers. 

Lions keeper, Brigette Racey, collected 11 saves on the day. 

The Pacers will look ahead to hosting the first round of the AEC tournament on Saturday, facing No. 4 Manhattanville
