Pacers Silence Saint Elizabeth, 4-0

Schweigart tallies seven saves in the shutout

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood University men's soccer team hosted Saint Elizabeth University (2-4-3, 1-1 AEC) for the first home conference game of the season. The Pacers (4-7-1, 1-1 AEC) dominated the game, claiming a 4-0 victory over the Eagles.  

Jack Forbes got the Pacers on the board first, scoring in the 29th minute off an assist from Alex Visha. 

In the 43rd minute, Visha grabbed a goal of his own to stretch the Marywood lead to 2-0. Jason Camardo was credited with the assist. 

Brian Marshall tallied the third Pacer goal in the 69th minute, as he finished off a pass from Jason Tordy. 

In the 74th minute, Jared Sanborn absolutely buried the fourth and final Marywood goal of the game from around 25 yards out. 

The Pacers out-shot the Eagles 22-17 in total, and 10-7 on target. 

Marywood had seven corner kick opportunities compared to Saint Elizabeth's three. 

Ryan Schweigart collected seven saves and a shutout on the night for the Pacers. 

Marywood will travel to Centenary on Saturday for their next match.
