Lancaster, Pa. — Marywood University senior Brendan Franko was selected to the Atlantic East Conference First Team in men's basketball, officials announced Thursday. Franko earned the award for the second consecutive season.
Franko becomes just the second student-athlete in program history to earn multiple First Team All-Conference awards.
Franko ranked fifth in the conference with 14 points per game. He ranked second in field goal percentage (.509). In Atlantic East play, he ranked third in both categories. Franko averaged 16.5 points per game against conference foes.
He became the eighth member (11th including transfers) of the 1,000 Point Club at Marywood. Franko ranks fourth all-time at Marywood with 1,263 career points.
Neumann University's Donte Dupriest was selected the Atlantic East Player of the Year. Dupriest, in 15 games, averaged 18.9 points per game and shot 60 percent from the field. He also averaged 15.1 rebounds per game as a first-team All-AEC selection.
Marymount University's Reuben McEachern was selected the Atlantic East Defensive Player of the Year. McEachern averaged 7.7 points per game, while shooting 47.7 percent from the field.
Pratt Institute's Thomas Graetz was the Atlantic East Rookie of the Year. He averaged 7.6 points per game, while shooting 37.2 percent from the field.
Neumann's TJ Lewis was named the Atlantic East Elite 20 winner. Centenary University secured Coaching Staff of the Year.
