Voyer, Lorah Blank Knights in Doubleheader Sweep

Tori Para roped three doubles

Scranton, Pa. — The Marywood Pacers hosted Neumann University in a conference doubleheader. The Pacers (13-15, 3-3 AEC) shutout the Knights (6-26, 3-3 AEC) in both games, sweep the set 1-0 and 4-0. 

Game One: Marywood 1, Neumann 0

The Pacers were led offensively by Tori Para , Jessica Hanley, and Brianna Voyer who all collected two hits a piece. Kat Davis batted in the game-winning run. 

Marywood scored in the bottom half of the second. Hanley ripped a double to right center and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Davis then singled to right field to score Hanley. 

Voyer (7-7) pitched the complete game shutout, surrendering six hits. Voyer also picked up three strikeouts. 

Neumann's Olivia Ammon allowed eight hits, allowing one run and three walks. Ammon struck out one Pacers. 

Game Two: Marywood 4, Neumann 0

Para collected three of the four RBIs in game two. 

The Pacers first run came off a Para double, scoring Voyer. 

In the fifth, Para hit her second double of the game, plating two runs. 

Alex Dusman tacked on another insurance run for the Pacers, hitting an RBI single to score Priscilla Grill

The Pacers walked away with the 4-0 victory. 

Grace Lorah (4-2) started for Marywood, pitching six innings while allowing three hits and four walks. Lorah struck out six. 

Voyer earned her first collegiate save in an inning of relief, recording a clean sheet. 

The Pacers will continue conference play with a doubleheader against Centenary on Thursday.
