Pacers Capture Win Over Manhattanville

Coleman McCain goes 3 for 6

Purchase, N.Y. — The Marywood University baseball team walked away with a 12-6 victory at Manhattanville University on Tuesday. 

Coleman McCain led the Pacers offense, roping three hits and collecting two RBIs. 

The Valiants jumped ahead, scoring five runs in the first two innings. 

The Pacers tacked on three runs of their own in the third. Joel Ayers hit an RBI groundout. AJ Kuzior followed with a RBI double and McCain tallied an RBI single. 

Marywood went on to tie the Valiants in the fifth, capitalizing on an error by Manhattanville and scoring on a wild pitch. 

The Pacers gained a 8-5 lead in the sixth inning. Evan Bruder scored on an error. Ayers then singled to right, scoring Christian Michak. McCain followed with a RBI single to centerfield. 

Joel Ayers and AJ Giannetti both brought in a Pacer run in the seventh, extending the lead to 10-5. 

The Valiants got their sixth run in the bottom half of the seventh on a RBI double. 

The Pacers went on to add two more insurance runs in the eighth. Jaylen Robinson scored on a passed ball before Adam Ginsberg had a productive groundout to bring in Tanner Vicendese

Eight Marywood pitchers saw action in today's game. Owen Reilly got the start for the Pacers. In one inning of work, Reilly allowed three runs and three hits. 

Ryan Ganly was credited with the win, allowing one walk and one hit in an inning of work. 

Caleb Fisher, Reccek, Kieran Beman, and Colton Rinehimer surrendered no runs. 

The Pacers improve to 12-14 on the season. 

Marywood will be back in action Thursday with a nine-inning game against crosstown foe, University of Scranton.
