Pacers Ousted by Warriors in Extra Innings

AJ Kuzior goes 3-4

Williamsport, Pa. — The Marywood University Pacers traveled west to Lycoming College, taking on the Warriors. The Pacers (12-15) went on to fold to the Warriors (20-15) in extra innings. 

Marywood scored first in the contest. 

In the third, Adam Ginsberg hit an RBI single, scoring Evan Bruder. AJ Kuzior followed with a two-run single to left field, scoring Ginsberg and Joel Ayers

The Warriors tied it 3-3 in the fourth. 

Later, in the seventh inning, Marywood scored its fourth run on a wild pitch. Also in the inning, Kuzior hit a RBI single, giving the Pacers a 5-3 lead. 

Lycoming, in the bottom half of the seventh, tied it up yet again. 

Both teams were handcuffed through nine, forcing extra innings. 

The Pacers threatened with bases loaded, but the Warriors got out of the jam with a double play. 

Lycoming had a lead off double in the bottom of the tenth. With the runner advancing to third on a sacrifice bunt, the Pacers intentionally walked Jimmy Coppock. Kaden Shay hit the game-winning sacrifice fly for the Warriors. 

Ethan Reccek (0-1) took the loss for the Pacers. Reccek allowed one hit, one earned runs, and two walks in 1.1 inning of work. 

Max Ryan, Owen Reilly, Danny Tiedemann, and Noah Trager all had clean sheets on the mound. 

The Pacers will host Eastern University Wednesday for a doubleheader.
