Pacers Fall to St. John Fisher, 4-1

Toth collects her third goal of the season

Rochester, N.Y. — Marywood University field hockey concluded their upstate New York roadtrip, matching up with St. John Fisher Sunday afternoon. A late goal prevented the Pacers from being shut out, falling 4-1. 

The Cardinals got on the board quickly with goals in the 6th and 9th minutes. 

In the second period, St. John Fisher tallied another goal, extending the lead to 3-0. 

The 41st minute was when the Cardinals added their fourth goal of the game. 

In the 45th minute, Marywood had its lone goal of the game. Lany Straub connected with Emma Toth to cut into the Cardinals lead, 4-1. 

Both teams were held silent in the fourth period. 

Marywood had seven shots, with all of them being on goal. 

St. John Fisher had nine shots, all being on target. 

St. John had seven penalty corner opportunities compared to the Pacers' four. 

Sabrina Frazer started in goal for the Pacers, allowing two goals and recording a save. 

Bre Marchiano subbed in and notched three saves while allowing two goals. 

Cardinals' Morgan Parrinello had six saves in the contest. 

The Pacers will host Albright College on Wednesday.
