Women's Tennis Wipes Out DeSales

Center Valley, Pa. -- Marywood University women's tennis shut out DeSales University by a 7-0 score for its second consecutive season. The Pacers move to 2-0 on the season. 

The Pacers are undefeated through their first two matches for the first time since 2019-20. 

Kylie Kilgore won the top singles flight by a 6-2, 6-1 score. Alexandra Vitale outlasted her opponent for a 6-2, 6-7 [10-2] victory in second singles. 

Avianna Santarelli took the No. 3 singles by 6-2, 6-0. In the fourth singles, Catarina English notched a 6-4, 6-1 victory. 

Hanna Adonizio recorded 6-4, 6-4 wins in the fifth singles. Hannah Brownlee registered a 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory in No. 6 singles. 

Marywood won two of the three doubles matches. Kilgore and Vitale won the top flight by a 6-4 score. Abigail Mach and Brownlee tabbed a 6-2 win in the third singles. 

The Pacers will host Misericordia University on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
