Pacers' Win Streak Ends at Three Versus St. Lawrence

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University's three-game baseball winning streak came to an end against St. Lawrence University on Wednesday. The Pacers fell to the Saints by an 8-4 decision.

Ethan Reccek went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a walk. Tanner Vicendese reached three times.

Brett Kugler, Kieran Beman, Isaac Galarza and Caleb Fisher each threw scoreless relief appearances.

St. Lawrence (5-6) came out to a three-run lead in the opening three innings.

The Saints put four straight runners on base in the first inning. Gabe Albertson singled through the right side for an RBI. St. Lawrence put together a pair of runs in the third. Riley Reimund doubled into left field to put two runners in scoring position. Eoin Morrissey hit an RBI single to right center, and Reimund scored on a passed ball.

After St. Lawrence's Liam Hickey left the game after yielding just a hit, Marywood added a pair of runs in the fifth. Following a pair of walks to start the inning, Ruiz hit an RBI single up the middle. Adam Ginsberg doubled to left to bring in Ruiz to put the Pacers behind by a 3-2 score.

The Saints responded in the sixth with a pair of runs. George Proffitt homered down to deep right field, and Jack Finnegan tripled in the Saints' fifth run.

St. Lawrence extended the lead to six runs in the top of the seventh inning. Reimund doubled to center field, and Matt Davis singled through the right side for the seventh run. The Saints capped their scoring with a double steal from George Proffitt and Matt Davis.

Reccek singled in two runs in the bottom of the frame.

Marywood faces another set of Saints — Marymount University — this weekend in Tysons Corner, Va.
