Men’s Tennis Tops Immaculata in Regular Season Finale

Dunmore, Pa. - Marywood University secured the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic East Conference men's tennis playoffs with a 5-2 win over Immaculata University on Saturday. 

The Pacers set the tone early by claiming two of three doubles matches to secure the opening point. At No. 1 doubles, Alex Corcoran and Gavin Gagliardi delivered a 6-1 win, while Zane Smoker and Isaac Carpenter followed with a 6-0 victory at No. 2. Jack Biggs and Aidan Brunner fell 7-5 in the third doubles flight. 

In singles action, Gagliardi controlled the top singles match with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Carpenter matched that scoreline at No. 4.

Fred Kloss added another point with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 5. In the sixth, Aidan Brunner battled through a three-set thriller, winning by scores of 4-6, 7-6 (3), 10-6.

Marywood will take on third-seeded Pratt Institute on Friday at Neumann University.
