Marywood Breaks Scoring Record in Regular Season Finale

Yilanjian reaches 200 Point Club

Scranton, Pa. — Marywood University broke a women's lacrosse program record for most goals scored in a single game. The Pacers defeated Centenary University 28-3 on Wednesday. 

The Pacers will enter the Atlantic East Conference women's lacrosse playoffs as the No. 2 seed. Marywood (10-6, 4-1) will take on third-seeded Marymount University on Saturday at 1 p.m. 

Natalie Yilanjian became the ninth player in school history to reach the 200 Point Club. She finished with three goals and two assists for five points. 

Kaitlyn Smith scored five goals and six assists for 11 points. Smith added nine draw controls and three ground balls. 

Avery Meighan tallied seven points and seven draw controls. She had five goals and two assists. Meighan added two ground balls. 

The Pacers' Alli Duncan scored three goals and an assist for four points. She was 2 for 2 on free-position shots. 

Danica Kelly registered a hat trick. Alivia Backes also had three points with two goals and an assist. Backes had a career-high eight draw controls.

Carly Lynch generated a goal and four assists for five points. 

Defensively, Felicia Pescatore had four ground balls, two caused turnovers, and a goal. Jessica Banta had three ground balls and three caused turnovers with two goals. 

Casey Monaghan tallied a goal and an assist. 

In net, Jenna Scala made four saves. The Cyclones' Kylie Trilling had seven stops. 

Centenary's Nora Dornich had a goal and an assist.
