Marywood Paces AEC with Conference-Leading All-Academic Honorees

Marywood places 260 on the All-Academic Team

Haddonfield, N.J.- Marywood University led the Atlantic East Conference on the All-Academic Team, officials announced this week. The Pacers have had the most All-Academic Team recipients in seven of the conference's eight years.

The Atlantic East Conference announced its All-Academic Team on Tuesday, recognizing more than 1,000 student-athletes from its eight core member institutions and several affiliate members for their academic achievements.

Marywood led the conference with 260 student-athletes earning All-Academic Team honors. Immaculata came in second with 217, while Marymount placed third with 211 honorees. Neumann finished fourth with 201 and Gwynedd Mercy followed in fifth with 154 student-athletes recognized.

Pratt Institute recorded 109 All-Academic Team selections, while Saint Elizabeth totaled 72 honorees. Centenary rounded out the conference's core institutions with 60 student-athletes earning recognition.

Among the affiliate members, St. Mary's College of Maryland led the way with 24 student-athletes recognized. Manhattanville followed with 17 honorees, while Gallaudet recorded 12 and Penn State Schuylkill added 11. Cedar Crest and Holy Family rounded out the list with eight and six All-Academic Team selections, respectively.

To earn a spot on the All-Academic team this year, a student-athlete must be a full-time student and register a 3.20 grade-point average or better through the Fall and Spring semesters. For the full criteria, click here.
