Evans Wins Four CSC Creative & Design Contest Awards

Evans, a Graphics Design Intern, wins top prize in Special Projects - Graphics category

LAS VEGAS — Marywood University senior Madison Evans '27 earned four College Sports Communicators Creative & Digital Design Contest awards, officials announced Wednesday at the CSC Unite 2026 national convention in Nevada. Evans is a graphic design intern for Marywood's Athletics and Recreation Department.

Evans won the Best of Interns first place prize in the Special Projects - Graphics category. Her 'Play Rattlin' Bog' baseball graphic also finished eighth place overall in the Best of Division III level.

A native of Orwigsburg, Pa., Evans garnered a pair of third-place finishes in the CSC's Best of Interns division. She placed third in Game Day Graphics for her Baseball vs. Immaculata "Paint Marywood Green" graphic. Evans also took third in Major Awards & Championships Graphics for her Women's Tennis 'Postseason Clinched' design.

"I am so happy for Madison's well-deserved accolades," said Jay Monahan, Director of Athletics Communications. "Madison has an eye for telling the stories of our student-athletes in a creative way. In just one semester, she has brought a professional and edgy look to our visual communications output."

Nearly 270 institutions and conference offices were among the participants this year, with more than 650 total individuals having been named on an entry. A total of 456 places were recognized in the overall contest results while 490 entries garnered "Best Of" honors for each level in the College Division as well as for Graduate Assistants, Interns and Student Workers. 980 entries made up the 17 contests in the University Division composed exclusively of Division I institutions. The College Division was headlined by Division II with 711 total entries followed by Division III with 541, the NAIA with 246, Canadian Institutions with 27 and two-year colleges with 22.

The number of places awarded for each contest was determined by the number of entries in each category. For the College Division, "Best Of" honors were bestowed upon the top finishers from each subdivision also based on the number of entries received.

"I want to congratulate all the individuals recognized in the results of the 2025-26 CSC Creative & Digital Design Contest," said contest chair Patrick Murphy of the Colorado School of Mines. "Once again, this contest continues to be the premier opportunity in our industry to recognize the creativity, innovation and talent of the CSC membership, and showcase the best our profession has to offer in the content creation space as decided by their peers."

Evans joined the Marywood Athletics Department as a graphic design intern in January. She is a graphic design major with a minor in photography.

Earlier this spring, Evans was selected to participate in the Philadelphia Flyers' Next Shift Program, gaining valuable insight into the creative side of professional sports. Evans is currently serving as a graphic design intern with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A New York Yankees affiliate) minor league baseball team.
