Women's Basketball Recognized with WBCA Academic Team Special Mention

Atlanta, Ga.- The Marywood University women's basketball team garnered special mention to the 2025-26 WBCA Academic Team Honors as part of the association's rollout of the Academic Top 25. The Pacers received special mention by posting a 3.66 team GPA for the year.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2025-26 season is the 31st in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate membership divisions strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"

Marywood received the Atlantic East Team Academic Award during the 2025-26 academic year and had three players who were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
