Barwick, Berge Named to NFHCA Division III Watchlist

Marywood places student-athletes on preseason list for fourth straight season

Colorado Springs, Colo. — Marywood University juniors Brooke Barwick and Whitney Berge were selected to the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Preseason Watchlist. Powered by Performance Sports Events, 204 student-athletes were highlighted.

The 2026 NFHCA Watchlist recognizes field hockey student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of achievement and are considered among those with strong potential for NFHCA All-Region and All-American consideration this season.

Student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches and must have earned qualifying field hockey recognition within the previous two years. Qualifying honors include NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-America, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, or selection to a U.S. National or international team roster.

Eligibility note: All-Rookie, All-Freshman Team, 'Honorable Mention,' and Junior Nexus are not qualifying distinctions for Collegiate Watchlist selections.

The Watchlist is intended to highlight returning and emerging standouts entering the 2026 season. Selection does not guarantee future NFHCA postseason recognition.

Barwick was named First Team All-Conference during a breakout sophomore campaign. She scored 13 goals and eight assists for 34 points. Berge had three game-winning goals for the Pacers.

Berge was selected Second Team All-Conference as a midfield/back. She tallied one goal and three assists for five points.

It is the first Watchlist honor for both student-athletes.

Marywood opens the 2025 campaign on Tuesday at New Paltz at 4 p.m.
