Ruccio Named MAC Runner of the Week

Newtown, Pa.- Joelle Ruccio of the Marywood University women's cross-country team was named MAC Women's Runner of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.

She is the first Marywood student athlete to earn a MAC Athlete of the Week award.

Ruccio ran a 22:46.2 in her first collegiate 6K to finish fifth at the Dickinson College Long-Short Run — the eighth-fastest time in Marywood history and the second-fastest among Division III competitors in the field, trailing only Dickinson's Meghan Higgins-Haas and three West Chester runners.

The Pacers are heading to Maryland for the MAC Championship Preview Meet on Friday.
