Field Hockey Falls to New Paltz

Sabrina Frazer makes eight saves

New Paltz, N.Y. — Marywood University field hockey came just short in a 1-0 loss to SUNY New Paltz on Tuesday.

The Hawks scored the lone goal in the 24th minute. Abigail Bozzanca sent a Joleigh Kozack feed into the back of the cage. 

New Paltz edged the Pacers 9-8 in shots on goal. The Hawks had a 17-9 advantage in total shots. 

The Hawks had a 9-4 advantage in penalty corners. 

Grace Grant finished with eight saves for New Paltz. Gabriella Barth had a defensive save. 

Marywood's best chance came in the 10th minute. Emma Toth's shot was stopped by Barth before the goal line. 

The Pacers take on William Paterson University on Saturday at home.
