Men's Golf Splits with Scranton, Wilkes in Tri-Match

Moosic, Pa. - Marywood University's men's golf team shot a 347 as the Pacers split a tri-match hosted by The University of Scranton Thursday afternoon at Glenmaura National.  The host Royals won the event after shooting 310 as a team while both the Pacers and the UofS defeated Wilkes, who shot 352.

Scranton's Calvin Ralph took medalist honors with an even-par round of 71 on the 6,308 yard course.  Marywood's James Tressler was second with a five-over 76 and Scranton's Thomas McAuliffe shot a 79 to round out scores in the 70s on the day.

Austin Zehel was 12-over with a 83 for Marywood while Joe Weber shot an 89 (+18) and Brendan Muphy shot a 99. Marywood now has a 4-1 record in team events this year.

Marywood is at the Ursinus College Fall Invitational Monday at Raven's Claw Golf Club in Pottstown.
