Men's Golf Edged out by One Stroke in Fall Opener

Match Results

Moosic, Pa. – Marywood men's golf opened their fall season in a thrilling dual match against the University of Scranton. The Pacers came up short by just one stroke as the Royal completed their day shooting 314 as a team and the Pacers shot a 315.

Marywood was led by James Tressler and freshman Eddie McGreevy as both shot 76 (+5) on the day. The only player that had a better round was Scranton's Colin Sommers, who earned medalist honors with a round of 75 (+4). Joseph Weber had the third best score shooting a 77 (+6) to help lead the Pacers.

Finishing off the team scoring for Marywood was freshman Luke Flederbach. Flederbach shot a 86 (+15).  Connor Kelleher ended his day with a 91 (+20).

The Pacers will be back on the course on Saturday September 21st against the University of Scranton. Tee-off is set for 1 pm at the Stonehedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock.
