Men's Golf Falls to Scranton

Moosic, Pa. - The University of Scranton defeated Marywood University 302-328 in men's golf action Wednesday afternoon to win their 56th straight dual match.

Royals' freshman Stephen Butler shot a one-over-par at Glenmaura National Golf Club to earn medalist honors with a round of 72 and help The University of Scranton improve to 12-0 on the year in dual matches. The Royals extend a streak of wins in dual matches that dates back to 2017.

Marywood was led in the event by Francesco Pazzaglia, who tied for second with a 75. Eddie McGreevy shot a 79 to tie for sixth.

Both of Marywood's losses this season have come against the Royals.

Marwood (2-2) hosts Clarks Summit University October 12 at Stonehedge Golf Club in Tunkhannock.
