Men's Golf Splits at Scranton Tri-Match

Tunkhannock, Pa. - The University of Scranton edged Marywood University by six strokes as the Pacers split a tri-match Monday afternoon at Stone Hedge Golf Course in Tunkhannock. Scranton shot a 310, Marywood a 316 and Wilkes a 368.

Matthew Fleming and Danny Harding both shot 74 for the Royals to split medalist honors. Paul Appolt finished four-over-par with a 75 to finish in sole possession of third place. Francesco Pazzaglia finished tied for fourth with a round of 78.

Lucas Flederbach finished in a three-way tie for sixth with a 79. Landon Firmstone and Colin Virkitis tied for 11th with rounds of 84 for the Pacers.

Tuesday's scheduled quad-match between Marywood, Scranton, Wilkes and Misericordia has been postponed due to expected inclement weather.

Marywood will compete in the Atlantic East Conference Championships this Friday and Saturday at White Manor Country Club in Malvern.
