Scranton, Pa. - Marywood University's Jake Schuster has been named a First Team All-Region V selection by D3Baseball.com. The Lansdale native was named to the first team as a first baseman. This award comes on the heels of Schuster's Atlantic East Conference Player of the Year nod.
Schuster was a D3Baseball.com Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team selection at first base in 2018 and a third team selection in 2019.
Schuster had the top batting average (.403), slugging percentage (.694) and on base percentage (.522) in the Atlantic East. The grad student had 50 hits, 10 doubles, four triples, six home runs and 30 RBIs on the season. Schuster also held a .996 fielding percentage with 218 putouts and eight assists at first base.
Among all active Division III hitters, Schuster ranks eighth in doubles (54), ninth in extra-base hits (379), 11th in triples (14), 13th in RBIs (156), 22nd in home runs (26) and 24th in walks (96).
He was named Player of the Week on April 11. Schuster made two appearances on the conference honor roll.
