Men's Golf Captures Atlantic East Runner Up

Paul Appolt finished tied for second overall

Sugarloaf, Pa. — Marywood University finished as the conference runner-up for the third consecutive year at the Atlantic East Conference men's golf championships. Paul Appolt and Eddie McGreevy were named First Team All-Atlantic East. 

The Pacers shot a 652 over the course of two days at the Valley Country Club in Sugarloaf.

appolt Cabrini finished in first place on both days (309, 332), capturing its fourth straight title, with a team score of 631. Neumann placed third (329, 344) with a team score of   673.

 Appolt (pictured to the left) led the Pacers as he finished tied for second place overall (75, 80) with Cabrini's Frankie Sass and Marymount's Roger Sauvage. 

 McGreevy finished in 5th place overall with a total score of 157 (74, 83). Francesco Pazzaglia placed 15th with a score of 168 (81, 87).

 Colin Virkitis finished tied for 18th with a 172 (83, 89). Ben Williams rounded out the Pacers' scoring shooting a 176 (85, 91).
