Moosic, Pa.- The Marywood University men's golf team was overpowered by The University of Scranton at Glenmaura National Golf Club. In a close match, the Royals outshot the Pacers with a final score of 320-328.
On a par 71, Scranton's Gehrig Shannon shot 75 putting him in first place. Not far behind was Marywood's Paul Appolt shooting a 77 (+6) on the day for a tie for a second place finish with Scranton's Juliano Nieto.Â
Marywood's Ben Galko (80, +9); Colin Virkiti (83, +12), and Matt Lombardi (88, +17) took a fourth, sixth, and eighth place finish.
The Pacers are hosting the Gino Biondi Invitational on Oct. 14-15 at Glenmaura National Golf Club.Â
