Women's Tennis Suffers First Loss to Wilkes

Box Score Edwardsville, Pa. — Marywood University women's tennis suffered its first loss of the season in a 5-2 setback to Wilkes University on Thursday. The Pacers previously had won its first five matches of the season.

Avianna Santarelli won the No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 victory.

Hanna Adonizio earned Marywood's other point in a 6-3, 6-1 decision at No. 5 singles.

In the second singles, Alexadria Vitale fell by a 6-2, 7-6 (5) score.

Wilkes won all three doubles matches. Catarina English and Adonizio lost 6-4 in the second doubles.

Marywood travels to Oneonta State to close out its fall schedule on Saturday, Oct. 18.
