Kilgore Named Player of the Week, Kloss Tabs Weekly Honor Roll

Haddonfield, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Volleyball weekly award winners on Monday. Marywood University's Kylie Kilgore claimed Player of the Week Honors on the women's side while Fred Kloss was named to the Weekly Honor Roll on the men's side.

Starting her junior year off on a strong foot, Kilgore won both her singles and doubles match to lead the Pacers to a season-opening win over SUNY Delhi. She earned a 6-1, 6-0 in the top singles flight, by following up with a strong 6-3 victory in the top doubles with teammate Alexandra Vitale.

Kloss led the Pacers to a 2-1 week, recording a 2-1 singles and 3-0 doubles record. After suffering a heartbreaking 7-6 (7-5), 1-6 [6-10] loss in a season-opening match against Scranton, the junior won his fifth singles sets by 6-4, 6-4 and 6-0, 6-3 scores against SUNY Delhi and Mount Saint Mary (N.Y.), respectively. Kloss teamed with Jack Biggs to beat the Royals 6-3 in third doubles, with the same duo tallying 6-0 doubles wins over the Broncos and Knights.

The men's and women's team will be on the road Saturday, facing DeSales.
