Mangan Finishes Second in the 100 Breaststroke

Marywood stands in third place in both team standings

St. Mary's City, Md. — Marywood University women's and men's swimming and diving stands in third place in the overall standings in the Atlantic East Conference Championships. The final day of competition begins on Sunday.

Marywood has 421 points in the women's team rankings, and the Pacers men have 245 points. St. Mary's College of Maryland lead Marymount by six points in the women's standings, and the Saints have a 101-point lead on the men's side.

Aubrey Mangan finished second in the women's breaststroke. Mangan swam to a 1:11.47 finish to capture a silver medal.

Kylee Koratich came in fourth place in the 400 IM. She dropped 3.25 seconds for a 5:01.18 finish.

Marywood took fifth and sixth in the women's 100 butterfly. Camila Gil had a 1:03.32 mark, and Emerson Gellert clocked in at 1:03.5.

Gellert followed up with a fifth place swim in the 200 free. She took off 1.41 seconds for a 2:03.99 finish.

Catelyn Lieser recorded a 1:14.3 finish for fourth place in the 100 breast. Bethany Ondreyko was eighth in 1:24.17.

In the 100 back, Tori Sills had a prelime time of 1:05.4 to finish seventh overall.

The women's 400 medley relay of Sills, Gil, Koratich and Gellert took fourth place in 4:22.23.

In the men's race, Alex McCarey produced a seventh place finish in the 100 butterfly. McCarey recorded a time of 56.74 seconds.

Sam O'Sullivan was seventh in the 200 free with a prelim time of 1:55.05.

Taking eighth place in the 100 breast, Alex Corcoran dropped 2.21 seconds off his earlier mark for a 1:04.91 finish.

The Pacers' 400 medley relay of O'Sullivan, Owen Turner, McCarey and Corcoran placed third in 3:53.53.
