Women's Swimming Picked Third in the Atlantic East Pre-Championship Poll

Haddonfield, N.J. — Marywood University was picked third in the Atlantic East Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, officials announced. The 2025-26 Atlantic East Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championship will resume on February 12-15, on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.

Prior to the meet, the coaches from all six institutions voted on the 2025-26 Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, resulting in St. Mary's being tabbed the most likely, receiving 24 points and four first-place votes. Marymount landed second, with 22 points and two first place votes, followed by Marywood in third after receiving 17 points. Immaculata fell fourth with 13 points, while Gallaudet and Cedar Crest closed out the final two spots, receiving eight and six points, respectively

Marywood, who landed in third, will look to utilize the diving portion of the event, with Kyla Harbodin and Kenny Sawicki slated to compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter drives, with Harbodin being the frontrunner of the two. On the swimming side of things, the Pacers, who were awarded the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year accolade, will be led by Camila Gil, a former Cedar Crest swimmer who took home gold in the 200 back last time out. Additionally, the lone 2025 All-Conference selection for the Pacers, Aubrey Mangan (second team), is seeded second in the 100 breast.

The Seahawks, last year's Swimming champions, return the 2025 Swimmer of the Year, Kelsie Miller. Miller currently holds the top times in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 fly this season. Returning alongside her is Emerson Young, who took home the gold medal in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 back last year. She has posted the top times this season in the 50 free and 100 free, while pacing the third best time in the 200 free.

After winning the 2024 championships, the Saints of Marymount fell short as runners-up at last year's championships. Annabelle Tarrant has made a splash across the conference, posting several top times in her freshman campaign. She is currently slated as the top seeded time in the 200 free, 500 free and 1650 free. Miah Lopez, the 2025 Rookie of the Year, comes into the meet being a top five seed in the 100 fly, 200 fly, and 50 free.

Following the Pacers, in fourth, is Immaculata. The Mighty Macs will look to Ashley Batejan, in her second season, to be their heavy hitter, with her highest seedings being in the breaststroke races.

Gallaudet found fifth place as the Bison received eight points. Cedar Crest followed up in sixth, receiving six total points.

The championship awards ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the meet, Sunday evening, where the following will be recognized: Team Champion, Team Runner-Up, Swimmer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Elite Scholar Athlete Award, and Coaching Staff of the Year.
