Women’s Tennis Picked Second in AEC Coaches’ Preseason Poll

Haddonfield, N.J.- The Marywood University women's tennis team were picked second in the 2026 Atlantic East Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll Tuesday afternoon.

Last year's conference champion, Pratt, was selected as the preseason favorite, earning 15 total points and three first-place votes.

Marywood was picked close behind in second place with 14 points and two first-place votes after making a run to the championship match last year. This fall, the Pacers have posted a 5-2 record under the leadership of Dana Ciccotti, the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year recipient.  Alex Vitale, a First Team All-Conference selection in both Singles and Doubles, and Kylie Kilgore, First Team All-Conference Doubles selection, return for their sophomore and junior seasons, respectively. The duo went four-of-six this fall in No.1 doubles, with Kilgore posting that same record in No.1 singles.

Marymount and Neumann finished tied for fourth place in the poll, and Immaculata concludes the preseason poll at the fifth spot.

Conference play begins on Saturday, March 21, with Neumann hosting Pratt and Marymount hosting Immaculata.  Marywood starts conference play on Saturday, March 28, with Neumann heading to Scranton, Pa., to face the Pacers. The AEC Championship will be hosted by Neumann, with semifinals taking place on April 24 and the championship being played on April 25.

The Pacers open the 2026 spring season on Saturday, Mar. 21 at Juniata College.
